AEHCA Inc. expands into a new community - WELCOME Olopa, Guatemala
It’s in our name and our DNA that AEHCA Inc. will expand within Guatemala and into other countries. This year we laid the foundation to start working in the community of Olopa which is about an hour and half distant. A group of local leaders formed a committee that will identify needs within AEHCA Inc.s range of activities and then they’ll administer the funds we’ll send in 2024 to address those needs.
We are happy to welcome to our group of collaborators Ayuda para Olopenses de Americanos (APOA). Our expectation is to begin supporting a group of rural students with the financial aid they need to go to secondary school when the new year opens in January. One or two smaller, one time, projects are also in the works.
APOA’s President Adan Guevara Cardona (far right) says,
